Today I gave a presentation for the TU Delft Ethics and Philosophy of Technology research day. My talk was entitled “Explicability Principle for AI: Misdirected and Undermining”. I argue that the many proposals for explicability for AI do not overcome the moral problem that they aim to. As soon as they ‘solve’ the problem, the reason for using AI in the first place is non-existent.
I recently published the paper that the talk was based on. You can find it here.
